Set of 2 "Joni" Linen Napkins
Dark tulips, berries, new moons, full moons, a remembered cinnamon roll and cup of coffee. No regrets, coyote.
Set of 2 napkins, approximately 15" square. Mordant printed & dyed, hemmed with spiffy mitered corners.

About the Process
A weak ferrous acetate is screenprinted on 100% linen, then submerged in a dye bath. The dye adheres to the mordant-printed areas, (the drawing) and the background becomes lightly tinted. To learn more about my mordant printing and natural dye research, check out this post on my newsletter.
Care: Machine wash cool, tumble dry low or hang dry for best results. Cutch & Cochineal have been used as dyes since ancient times, for their excellent light and wash-fastness. The non-mordanted background areas may fade a bit, but every thing fades beautifully in time on our good green earth!
Linen is amazing! Strong and absorbent and grows softer with use. These are not fancy napkins; use them every day!
